Ruger Announces New Plant In Mayodan, North Carolina

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

July 08, 2013 Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. (NYSE: RGR) announced today that it plans to open its third manufacturing plant, a 220,000 square foot facility in Mayodan, North Carolina. This will be the Company’s first major expansion in over 25 years and it is expected to be finalized in August. The Company currently employs over 2,000 people in its two plants in Newport, New Hampshire and Prescott, Arizona.

In the past 5 years, Ruger has been listening to the thousands of shooting enthusiasts and simply making exactly what the shooters want. Ruger has crushed the concealed carry market with its Ruger LCP, Ruger LC9, and Ruger SR9C. These weapons alone have been a turning point for the Ruger brand and have without a doubt changed the industry.

Ruger is the role model for American businesses. They listen to their customers, deliver on their promises, and continue to surprise the shooting industry. I can easily walk into a gun store, see that it’s made by Ruger, and purchase it without handling it. Very few companies can have that affect on shooters. Ruger is always going to be on top because of their top notch quality, service, and pricing.
