In the past 5 years, Ruger has been listening to the thousands of shooting enthusiasts and simply making exactly what the shooters want. Ruger has crushed the concealed carry market with its Ruger LCP, Ruger LC9, and Ruger SR9C. These weapons alone have been a turning point for the Ruger brand and have without a doubt changed the industry.

Ruger is the role model for American businesses. They listen to their customers, deliver on their promises, and continue to surprise the shooting industry. I can easily walk into a gun store, see that it’s made by Ruger, and purchase it without handling it. Very few companies can have that affect on shooters. Ruger is always going to be on top because of their top notch quality, service, and pricing.

For the past couple years Ruger has become one of the most advanced gun manufactures in the world. Their firearms are constantly winning new awards back to back (Gun of the year). This month they have a huge cover on the magazine of Guns and Ammo. We have announced Ruger as Gun Manufacture of the Year for 2011.

Sturm, Ruger & Company was founded by William B. Ruger and Alexander McCormick Sturm in 1949 in a small rented machine shop in Southport, Connecticut.[3] Just prior to their partnership, Bill Ruger had successfully duplicated two Baby Nambu pistols in his garage, from a captured Nambu that he acquired from a returning US Marine, at the close of World War II. When it came to designing their first auto pistol, Ruger decided to incorporate the looks of the German 9mm Luger and the American Colt Woodsman into their first commercially produced .22 caliber pistol (see Ruger Standard), which became so successful that it launched the entire company
