Oath Keeper Founder and Yale Law Grad Stewart Rhodes Arrested, Charged with ‘Seditious Conspiracy’ in Connection With January 6 Capitol Riot

The founder of Oath Keepers organization, a Yale-educated attorney and US Army veteran, Stewart Rhodes was arrested today on federal charges of “seditious conspiracy” related to the January 6th, 2020 protests at the US Capitol.

US Attorney General Merrick Garland has faced withering criticism for calling the January 6th riot an “insurrection” while failing to charge anyone with treason or sedition. Never mind the fact that the those who allegedly plotted the violent overthrow of the government left their guns at home that day.
