Uniformed military personnel may soon be able to carry firearms on base under a new directive from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. On Thursday, Hegseth released a video of himself signing a new memo that allows individual service members to request permission to carry their personal guns on military property in the United States, including military installations, while off duty.
