It’s a question that’s been around as long as Texas has been around, why do Texans love guns so much?

To figure out the answer to this, we surveyed the state capitol of Austin and the surrounding Hill Country to see what folks had to say. Texas is a fiercely independent state, and while many of the responses revolved around freedom, the answers were as unique as Texas culture itself.
