This decision follows mounting pressure from Democratic colleagues, top donors and Hollywood stars after a disastrous debate performance last month.
The announcement from Biden, arguably one of the worst presidents in history as well one of the most anti-gun, sent shockwaves through the political landscape.
“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your president,” Biden wrote in a public letter posted on X.
