There’s no better way to beat the COVID blues than plinking with a rimfire. It’s cheap, fun and you can work on the fundamentals of shooting without worrying about recoil impulse and noise. Take a look at a few rimfire options we think are perfect for plinking!

BROWNING BUCK MARK
The Browning Buck Mark pistol made its debut in 1985. Chambered in .22LR, these pistols are soft shooting, fun and accurate. Magazines hold 10-rounds and the gun features a thumb safety as well as adjustable rear sights and a front blade.
KEL-TEC CMR-30
The Kel-Tec CMR-30 is more than a futuristic-looking gun. Not only does it fire .22 Magnum, but it holds 30-rounds in a flush-fitting magazine — a lot of firepower in a small package.

HENRY AR-7
The Henry U.S. Survival AR-7 may just be the only rifle you’ll ever need. From its inception in 1959, it was originally intended for the survival needs of ditched Air Force pilots. Through several companies and iterations over the years, we arrive at by far the most popular version today, the Henry AR-7 Survival.
This semi-automatic .22 long rifle rimfire weighs in at a scant 3.5-pounds and takes down for easy carry, packing into its water-resistantABS buttstock. The 16.125-inch barrel is topped with an orange blade front and peep rear sight. Overall assembled length is 35-inches and it comes with two 8-round magazines.

RUGER MARK SERIES
The Ruger Mark Series is one of the world’s most popular and reputable .22 LR semi-automatic pistols. Introduced in 1949, the Mark Series brings a versatile and customizable pistol design to competition, plinking and varmint hunting. Simply put, they are must-have!
While older Mark Series are excellent guns often collectibles, the newer Mark IV pistols improved on the 71-year-old design by featuring a one-button takedown for quick and easy field-stripping and proper chamber-to-muzzle cleaning.

SAVAGE 93R17
The Savage 93R17 is one of our favorites. Not only is it reasonably priced, but it’s also extremely accurate and, of course, fun to shoot. It fires the fast .17 HMR making this plinker deadly well out to 150-yards.
The rifle features a smooth bolt action, 5-round magazine, tang safety and Savage’s steller adjustable AccuTrigger. It’s worth noting, the 93R17 does not have sights but does come ready to mount an optic.

OPTICS
While you’re shopping for a rimfire firearm, don’t forget to check out optics — especially if opting for a rifle. For .22 LR consider an option with 3x zoom while 10x is good for .17 HMR.
